Rain or shine, the Woodbridge community showed up to do their part for the planet this Earth Day and we couldn’t be more proud to have been part of it!
Despite the drizzle, many residents stopped by our Fix-It Station to breathe new life into broken or worn items. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the collaborative spirit was truly inspiring. We even had the pleasure of sharing lunch with fellow local groups, strengthening the ties that make our town so special.
📌 This year’s Fix-It Station success by the numbers:
🧵 12 sewing repairs
⌚ 3 watch adjustments
⚡ 3 electrical fixes
🔧 2 gas-powered equipment tune-ups
🛠️ 4 general/miscellaneous repairs
We were thrilled to see returning community members from last year — a sign that the event is making a lasting impact.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to:
David Wilson of Bethany Electric, for joining us for the second year in a row.
Kristen and Annitta, for generously providing 60 tomato plants and 30 spider plants — all of which were eagerly taken home.
Our sewing superstar (Mama Rosasco!), who stitched away from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., handling everything from hems to comforters with tireless dedication.
Erin Rosasco from Best Life Assistant, for managing front-of-house operations with efficiency and warmth.
And finally, if you see anyone from the Sustainability Committee, be sure to thank them. Pulling off an event like this especially in the rain takes dedication and teamwork, and we’re proud that our group played a meaningful part in such a successful day.
Here’s to more events that make a difference for our neighbors, for our town, and for our planet. 🌱
