Call to Denounce Defund The Police

REPUBLICAN TOWN COMMITTEE CHAIRS FOR MILFORD, ORANGE, WEST

HAVEN, AND WOODBRIDGE CALL ON DEMOCRATIC PARTY CANDIDATES TO

DENOUNCE DEFUND THE POLICE MOVEMENT.

The Working Families Party, a fringe and extremist party, has tweeted support for the “Defund the Police” movement.

Democratic candidates in Connecticut who have been endorsed by the Working Families Party must immediately and unequivocally denounce the fringe extremist “Defund the Police” movement which the Working Families Party has embraced.

Connecticut voters deserve answers from the candidates who are running to represent and serve them in the General Assembly. The Republican Party endorsed candidates in Milford, Orange, West Haven and Woodbridge have already declared their support for sensible reforms that bring more accountability to police conduct while preserving public safety.

Instead of dodging questions or distracting from the issues of this campaign, democratic party candidates like James Maroney, Mary Welander, Frank Smith, Bryan Anderson, Tony Sutton, and Jorge Cabrera must take a position on this key issue which is on the minds of voters in our towns and cities.
